photographs of nature, parrots, places of interest, are available in the catalog section of our parrots website.     Parrots love to chew, it is their nature & makes them happy!

Robbie is eight years old.

We love the birds, enjoy the birth of our parrot chicks, advocate parents feeding their young whenever possible, spoon feeding- messy & slower to be sure, but much better for the youngsters safety, veges & fruits of all kinds (no avocado or chocolate please, it's fatal) & believe no wild parrots should be removed from their place in the wild.  I believe in captive breeding programs to support people owning parrots.  Please don't buy smuggled birds from people, the birds are badly treated, diseased many times, and many are lost due to the lack of care that smugglers seem to share-greed.  C.I.T.E.S. is an organization that protects the Conservation of International Trade of Endangered Species.  In the 1970's many birds were traded. Some almost to extinction, due to the pet trade.  We need to do our part to protect the parrots left in the wild.

We raise a small variety parrots for sale with a very personal, loving start  to their lives.   Every baby is parent fed & then spoon fed by Renee from 2 1/2 weeks of age. Socialized & loved daily!   We live in the backcountry 20 miles south of San Jose & 15 miles west of Morgan Hill.  We live on 120 acres of oaks.

Rosie is a female Eclectus.  These are the only sexually dimorphic parrots. At three 1/2 weeks, when pin feathers arrive, you can tell their sex by their colors.  They can live 65-80 years when properly cared for, a friendly companion for life when lovingly hand reared.

Living without services has brought many poor energy management habits to light. The key to reduce power useage is to carefully utilize power as it's needed and remember to turn it off:
